Design Story

The wraparound splits into two tonal blocks: a deep navy upper panel framed by ornamental scrollwork, and an ivory lower section built from carved-looking geometric facets. Centered in the focal panel, the husky emblem sits inside a circular medallion ringed with laurel and pale relief detail, its expression alert and composed rather than snarling. Typography does the structural work: UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT set small and wide at the top, UCONN HUSKIES anchoring the base of the navy field, and EST. 1881 LIMITED EDITION tucked into a plaque near the foot. Small crimson diamond accents punctuate the navy, giving the palette a third note without breaking its restraint.

Use & Experience

Vertical proportion suits this hierarchy — the eye travels from lettering, to medallion, to the basketball motif at the tonal seam. The pale handle echoes the ivory base, so the tumbler reads as one balanced object from any angle, with enough negative space around the crest to keep it legible in the hand.
