Design Story

The composition is built around one focal panel: a circular medallion carrying the Texas A&M University seal, the interlocked A&M lettering, a laurel wreath, an Aggie ring silhouette, and the date 1876. Beneath it, a quiet typographic stack reads TEXAS A&M and AGGIES in restrained gold. The medallion sits high on the vertical proportion, so the eye lands there first and then travels down through the lettering into open maroon negative space. Gold appears as a rhythm rather than a flood — the upper collar band, the handle, the small accents — which keeps the tonal contrast rich instead of loud.

Use & Experience

On a tall tumbler silhouette, that upper-third placement matters. The crest stays front-facing and legible while the tapered lower body is left clean, so the graphic never fights the shape.
